Abby Alton comes to the offices of a trade association called NIMBI, the National Information Market Brokers Institute.  Trade Associations are also called lobbyists, and, in election years, they are called special interests.  Their principal goal is to get legislation out of Congress or Regulations out of the agencies that support their industry.  

Abby Alton has come to NIMBI’s office in order to address business executives and win them to support her initiatives.  She is not on the visitor’s roster for the day though her event is prominently listed.  That sets the stage for a tussle between her.  

In the process, a number of employees are escorted out of the building by police.  NIMBI has a program of hiring ex-cons and helping them return to society, but it is far form clear that this policy does any good.  Karine is asked to pass some information to an arrested employee but Alton intervenes, as the action would put her at risk.
