Control and Command
The office of Gar Simons. Gar is putting together an investment portfolio in a new technology called “Command and Control for the Home.” It is basically a system that puts every action and every decision that occurs in the home into a system on your phone that connects to everything in the world. Healthcare records, tax rolls, school district records. The list goes on and on. It’s going to be another attempt, like those of Facebook, Google and Amazon, to take over our world. One of the companies that will probably be part of this portfolio is one founded by Ben Capardi, who was recently fired from T & S. At one point, he was A good friend of Ed Kowalski. The two became estranged when Ed fired Capardi. In this scene, the two meet in Simon’s office.
Kowalski is not unwelcome in Gar’s office. Gar needs money for his portfolio and thinks that he might be able to get some from Kowalski. However, he is not very keen about having Kowalski, give directions to companies.
